About The Position

Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The role involves providing essential assistance and comfort to patients, ensuring they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. The Nursing Assistant will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned. The description also outlines the diverse patient populations served across various units, including General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery), Pediatric, GI Lab Unit, Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit, Emergency Unit, and Surgical Services, indicating the broad scope of care provided.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position.

Nice To Haves

• Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
• 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
