Requirements
- Clinically competent nursing staff for General Nursing Units.
- Clinically competent nursing staff for Special Care Areas.
- Staff clinically competent in maternity care for Labor and Delivery.
- Clinically competent staff for Nursery care.
- Clinically competent staff for Pediatric care.
- Clinically competent staff for GI Lab Unit.
- Clinically competent nursing staff for Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit.
- Clinically competent staff in pediatric and high-risk adult care for Emergency Unit.
- Staff providing care in Surgical Services.
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients under the direction/supervision of an RN.
- Cares for patients from age 15 years to maturity in General Nursing Units.
- Cares for patients from age 15 years through adult with high risk conditions in Special Care Areas.
- Provides Labor and Delivery care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions.
- Provides care for newborns until discharge status in Nursery.
- Provides care to patients from neonate through age of eighteen in Pediatric units.
- Cares for toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult in GI Lab Unit.
- Cares for adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems in Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit.
- Provides care to presenting patients of all ages in Emergency Unit, with expertise in pediatric and high-risk adult care.
- Provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric in Surgical Services.
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
