Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. Requirements

  • Clinically competent nursing staff for General Nursing Units.
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Special Care Areas.
  • Staff clinically competent in maternity care for Labor and Delivery.
  • Clinically competent staff for Nursery care.
  • Clinically competent staff for Pediatric care.
  • Clinically competent staff for GI Lab Unit.
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit.
  • Clinically competent staff in pediatric and high-risk adult care for Emergency Unit.
  • Staff providing care in Surgical Services.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients under the direction/supervision of an RN.
  • Cares for patients from age 15 years to maturity in General Nursing Units.
  • Cares for patients from age 15 years through adult with high risk conditions in Special Care Areas.
  • Provides Labor and Delivery care for patients with pregnancy-related conditions.
  • Provides care for newborns until discharge status in Nursery.
  • Provides care to patients from neonate through age of eighteen in Pediatric units.
  • Cares for toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult in GI Lab Unit.
  • Cares for adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems in Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit.
  • Provides care to presenting patients of all ages in Emergency Unit, with expertise in pediatric and high-risk adult care.
  • Provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric in Surgical Services.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
