Nursing Assistant - Rehab
About The Position
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. The description outlines care for various patient age groups and conditions across different units, including General Nursing Units (age 15+), Special Care Areas (age 15+ with high-risk conditions), Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Pediatric), GI Lab Unit (age 24 months to adult), Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adults), Emergency Unit (all ages), and Surgical Services (neonate to geriatric). The role involves completing established competencies within the designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position.
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
- 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.
Responsibilities
