About The Position
The Nursing Assistant (NAR/CNA) is responsible to demonstrate, and role model the mission, vision, and values of the organization. This position works collaboratively with members of the nursing team to provide direct care to residents based on the established plan of care. The job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee will also perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certification from the State of Minnesota or enrollment in an approved Certified Nursing Assistant course.
- 18 years of age and on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
- Willing to work as a team member and treat the job with a sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Providing residents with personal care (including bathing, transfers, dressing, feeding, toileting, vital signs, etc.)
- Reporting changes in resident condition
- Promoting resident independence by fostering self-help skills
- Keeping the resident areas orderly
- Treat residents with courtesy and respect.
- Follow the direction of staffing leaders as well as the plan of care for each resident.
