Nursing Assistant - Psych ED
About The Position
Under direct supervision, this position is accountable to the bedside RN to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family, and providers in the department. Responsible for the completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the patient and the RN. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard-free, clean environment which facilitates patient-focused care. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Terminology course or successful completion of a hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
- 6 months of experience working with individuals who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
Nice To Haves
- Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Completion of a CNA program or six months of healthcare experience.
