About The Position

This is a 100% FTE position for a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) who will also cross-train as a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). The role involves coordinating with Nursing Supervisors, assisting with patient placement needs for ICU, IMC, general care, or outpatient placement, and communicating with units and ancillary staff. Responsibilities include settling surgical/post-anesthesia patients, obtaining vitals, repositioning patients, setting up suction, assisting with airways, emptying drains and foleys per RN request, and assisting with the normoglycemia protocol. The position also requires assisting with activities of daily living, patient transport, intentional rounding, stocking, and ordering equipment. A key aspect of the role is interacting and engaging with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish trust and provide high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program Required
  • Listed on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry Upon Hire Required
  • BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred

Responsibilities
