About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant/PCT for the day shift (7a-7p) at their Rehabilitation Hospital in Lakeway, TX. This role involves assisting patients in their rehabilitation process by obtaining vital signs, aiding with daily activities, responding to call lights, reporting patient progress, and reinforcing therapy techniques. Nursing Assistants play a crucial role in encouraging and supporting patients throughout their recovery.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required
Nice To Haves
- Hospital experience preferred
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred
Responsibilities
- Obtaining vital signs
- Helping the patient with daily activities
- Promptly answering call lights
- Reporting any issues or progress observed
- Reinforcing rehab techniques as assigned by the therapy team
- Encouraging and supporting patients through the recovery process
- Gently guiding patients to reach their goals
