Requirements

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
  • Completion of CNA Program, Medical Assistant Program, PCA or similar program preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Basic EKG skills required within six months of employment.
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year of continuous experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
  • Completion of AUA Program.
  • Completion of AUA Certification Program with successful completion of test and licensed with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of patient care duties under the direct supervision of an Registered Nurse.
  • Actively participates in administering patient care and ensures a safe and comforting environment.
  • Must be able to interact with patients, families, physicians and all levels of staffing an effective manner.
  • Assist clinical team members by performing a variety of patient care tasks and comfort measures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Responds to patients’ needs in a timely manner.
  • Assists patients with ADL’s, including meals, bathing, and hygiene needs.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform 12 lead EKG.
