Nursing Assistant - Operating Room
About The Position
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. The description outlines care for various patient age groups and conditions across different units including General Nursing Units, Special Care Areas, Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery), Pediatric, GI Lab Unit, Chemical Dependent Unit, Psychiatric Unit, Emergency Unit, and Surgical Services. The role involves completing established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period and performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
- 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position
