Nursing Assistant - Neuro
About The Position
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Under the direction/supervision of an RN, provides basic nursing care for assigned group of patients. The description outlines care for various patient populations across different units, including General Nursing Units (age 15+), Special Care Areas (age 15+ with high-risk conditions), Maternal Child Units (Labor and Delivery, Nursery for newborns), Pediatric (neonate to 18 years), GI Lab Unit (toddlers 24 months+ to adult), Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit (adults), and Emergency Unit (all ages). Surgical Services provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Satisfactorily completed a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic or Medical Assisting course.
- 6 months in healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained with 60 days of hire or transfer to position
