Nursing Assistant (NA) - Per Diem
About The Position
OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its Dublin, OH location. This is a Per Diem/PRN position requiring a minimum of 4 shifts within a 6-week schedule, with compensation at $22.00/hr. The hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges due to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The role offers an extensive orientation program for a smooth transition, potential for full-time opportunities based on performance, and benefits designed to support the financial, work/life, and emotional well-being of employees and their families. Part-time/Per Diem positions are eligible for 401k benefits upon meeting specific hour requirements and have access to an employee assistance program.
Requirements
- Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements).
Responsibilities
- Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
- Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
- Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
- Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
- Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
- Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.
