About The Position
Monroe Hospital, a 32-bed community hospital in Bloomington, Indiana, and a member of the Prime Healthcare system, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for its MED/SURG/Telemetry Department. The hospital is committed to providing superior healthcare with a focus on individual patient needs and has received a Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades. The Nurse Aid will assist with daily living activities, provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
- Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists with activities of daily living
- Provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients
- Assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
