About The Position

Nursing Assistant in our Float Pool at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, CA. Positions available will work 12-hour shifts on Nights or Days. Available shifts will be discussed if a candidate is interviewed. The Nursing Assistant employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills to perform basic patient care. Under the supervision of the Assistant Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse or RN, the Nursing Assistant assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service. Such duties include, but are not limited to: personal hygiene, data collection and observation, vital signs, I&O, use of equipment, ADL's, documenting on the medical record, answering call lights, and recognizing and responding to emergency situations. Requirements

  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing Assistant certification (upon hire)
  • Acute care or specialty experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists with routine, direct bedside care of patients of various ages.
