This role serves as a collaborative member of our wonderfully compassionate, dependable, warm, long-tenured caregiving team. Our environment is intentionally relationship-based and highly attentive. Requirements

  • Ability to assist residents with transfers, repositioning, ambulation, and mobility support
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (50lbs), and respond quickly throughout the shift
  • Ability to perform essential caregiving responsibilities safely and consistently throughout overnight hours
  • Communicate calmly and respectfully with residents experiencing confusion or distress
  • Demonstrate patience, attentiveness, and reliability
  • Remain composed and responsive in urgent situations
  • Work well as part of a close-knit team
  • Notice small changes and communicate concerns clearly
  • Treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect
  • Are willing to jump in and help wherever needed
  • People who notice things early, communicate clearly, and understand that compassion is often expressed through consistency, patience, and presence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in memory care, assisted living, skilled nursing, home care, or healthcare preferred
  • Experience working with residents with dementia or cognitive impairment preferred
  • CNA/GNA certification (helpful)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Overnight shift experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for residents living with dementia and cognitive impairment
  • Assist with toileting, repositioning, hygiene, continence care, mobility, transfers, and overnight ADLs
  • Monitor for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, gait, sleep patterns, or alertness
  • Respond promptly and calmly to resident needs during the night
  • Help prevent falls and reduce nighttime confusion or agitation
  • Support residents with reassurance, redirection, companionship, and a calming presence
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized environment
  • Communicate observations clearly to nursing staff and the incoming day team
  • Document care accurately and thoroughly
  • Work collaboratively with nurses and caregivers as part of an integrated care team
