Nursing Assistant (CNA/NAR)
About The Position
Ebenezer is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support residents in their Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care). This role provides hands-on care and patient support services for adult short-stay patients at the spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN. Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital. This patient support schedule includes 80 hours in two weeks, an evening shift from 2 PM to 10 PM, and every other weekend and holiday rotation. The block schedule is as follows: Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Requirements
- Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date
- If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry

- Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers
- Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant
- Work experience in a customer service setting
Responsibilities
- Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
- Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
- AM/PM cares; including peri care and catheter care
- May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
- Chart or document in electronic medical record system
- Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
- Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
- Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner
