About The Position

The Nursing Assistant Certified Long Term Care role is based in the Skilled Nursing department at Via Christi Village Ridge in Wichita, Kansas. This part-time, weekend role on the day shift provides hands-on support to residents with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care. The Nursing Assistant observes residents and reports changes in their physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff, helps maintain a clean and safe environment, and partners with nurses to assist with physician-ordered procedures and resident care.

Requirements

• Nurse Aide credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• No work experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Provider credential; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on support with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Observe residents closely and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by identifying hazards and promptly reporting safety concerns to nurses.
• Partner with nurses to assist with physician-ordered procedures and resident care.
