Requirements

  • Must possess an active nursing license in Colorado as an RN.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn electronic medical records and other software systems.
  • Demonstrates respectful communication, maintains patient confidentiality, and fosters a secure, trusting environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior nursing experience working with eating disorders or behavioral health/mental health is preferred but not required.
  • Confident nursing skills and decision-making; remains calm in stressful situations.
  • Offers ideas and collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams; flexible and adaptable.
  • Motivated to understand eating disorders and their medical challenges better.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily nursing duties such as medication administration, specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and patient observations.
  • Order & follow up on lab tests, communicate results to providers, and escalate urgent findings.
  • Address patient concerns with clear communication and provide education on medications and eating disorder-related medical issues.
  • Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver ethical, high-quality care.
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Assist milieu staff in supporting patients and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Transport patients to programming & outings when required.
