About The Position

The Nursery Coordinator is responsible for all administrative needs for the nursery, including scheduling team trainings, following up on action items from meetings, managing mail, reimbursements, and reporting. This role involves developing and implementing a volunteer leader recruitment and development plan for the Nursery in coordination with the Children's Ministry team. The coordinator will also manage the promotion of Nursery programming and events, coordinate Baby Dedication, nursery-specific outreach events, mission opportunities, transition experiences, and parent connection environments. A key aspect of the role is observing Nursery environments routinely and communicating the overall vision, goals, and strategy of Nursery ministry to staff and parents. Additionally, the coordinator will manage nursery and programming for Summer Blast.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all administrative needs for the nursery, to include but not limited to scheduling team trainings, following up on action items from meetings, managing mail, reimbursements, reporting, etc.
Continually working on a recruiting and development plan for the Nursery
Implementation of a volunteer leader recruitment and development plan for Nursery in coordination with other team members of Children's Ministry
Coordinate promotion of Nursery programming and events in cooperation with Communications team
Manage the coordinator of Baby Dedication, outreach events that are nursery specific, mission opportunities, transition experiences and parent connection environments
Observe Nursery environments routinely.
Communicate the overall vision, goals, and strategy of Nursery ministry to staff and parents
Manage nursery and programming for Summer Blast
Participate in creative planning meetings for weekend service environments
Oversee the development and distribution of curriculum for nursery environments
Schedule creative meetings and communicate to those involved
Oversee the implementation of creative elements
Strive to stay culturally relevant to Nursery children by with cultural trends, music and media
Bring in different creative influences to ensure variety
Work all department training and special events and own certain parts of the training/event
Assist when appropriate for theme/context for training and special events
Be a resource and encouragement to leaders at the actual event
Utilize individual gifts and talents (ex: speaking, music, curriculum, writing etc.)
Prioritize and pursue his/her own relationship with Jesus Christ as a model to the rest of the staff
