About The Position

The nursery attendant supervises children and their activities from ages 8 weeks to 14 years at Carilion Wellness facilities. This job is not seasonal.

Requirements

• Minimum two years high school education.
• Work permit required if under 18 years of age.
• Experience: none
• AHA BLS-HCP certification is required (adult and infant/child).

Responsibilities

• Ensures childrens safety and well-being in the nursery and playland areas at all times.
• Enforces the child sick policy and other policies while utilizing the nursery.
• Maintain nursery bathroom neat and clean.
• Watch the children and their activities at all times.
• Contact parent if child's diaper needs to be changed.
• Ensures safety with the toys, books, etc.
• Keep nursery neat and clean.
