About The Position

The Kids Nursery Associate provides childcare for parents attending group meetings or services. The role helps create a safe, loving environment for infants and toddlers by actively engaging children, leading age-appropriate activities, and creatively teaching weekly lessons that share Jesus with each child. The position involves working with volunteers and staff in a classroom setting, leading music worship, and communicating positively with parents, coworkers, and coordinators. The role has flexible, part-time hours.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.
Dedicated and dependable, including the ability to work assigned shifts.

Nice To Haves

Childcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide safety and supervision of children.
Plan and participate with children in age-appropriate activities and lessons.
Read and understand the staff manual and covenant, and adhere to all Kids Team policies and procedures.
Work with different volunteer and staff personalities in a classroom setting.
Lead music worship time in a large-group setting or individual classrooms.
Communicate regularly and positively with parents, coworkers, and coordinators.
Keep CPR and Safe Gatherings certifications up to date.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Follow Jesus and engage in the five essential practices of the Christian life: worship, study, serve, give, and share.
Support the church’s purpose of building a Christian community where non-religious and nominally religious people become deeply committed Christians.
Exemplify the church’s values and support its theological direction as a United Methodist Church.
