About The Position
The Nurse is responsible for administering medication to incarcerated patients who are enrolled in the Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUDT) Program. This includes triaging patients referred to treatment for Opioid Use and/or Alcohol Use Disorder, and controlling, counting, and administering medication in accordance with state and federal standards and regulations. Successful completion of 40 Hour Department of Correction New Employee Training is required.
Requirements
- Valid MA nursing license from accredited school required, LPN or RN
- Must have current CPR/BLS certification or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Experience in substance abuse/mental health preferred
- DOC experience preferred
