Job Summary: Reporting to a designated Manager or Director—and in collaboration with agency treatment staff—the Nurse is responsible for coordinating, providing, and ensuring quality health care to all clients residing in a Wood’s Homes program. The Nurse will also work with medical, hospital and community services to provide quality health care support, continuity, education, and follow up for children, youth, and their families. The Nurse will demonstrate due diligence in being Exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services and in meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety Management System at Wood’s Homes. Accountabilities and Competencies Supporting and managing operations within the health clinic Coordinating medical appointments and developing treatment and care plans Ensuring consistency and accuracy of documentation Takes initiative Strong relationship building skills; high EQ Informed and empowered decision maker Proficient counselling and training abilities Professionalism inherent within written and verbal communication Demonstrated competence in emergency care interventions (such as CPR, First Aid) required and training in the use of Universal Precautions Due diligence in meeting all Health and Safety management system requirements.
