Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for the position of nurse with University Health Services within the Community Health and Well-Being Unit of the Division of Student Affairs. This is a casual, part-time position with a start date as soon as possible. Normal weekly hours will not exceed 17 hours per week. This position is non-benefits eligible. The nurse is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled practitioners, health promotion and administrative professionals. The nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care and related services to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students in a University Health Services setting. This person should share in the vision of providing quality clinical services to the Carnegie Mellon University community. University Health Services performs over 30,000 patient contact visits annually and is a dynamic and collaborative work environment that respects and supports the professional development of its staff. UHS operates within a nurse-led triage model in which nursing staff serve as the initial point of clinical contact for all patients, performing assessment, triage, and management of common medical concerns, and determining the appropriate level of care.
