About The Position

The responsibility of the Assisted Living Nurse is to provide and assist with the coordination of the residents of Snyder Village Assisted Living. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to be flexible.
Ability to identify residents’ activity interest.
Excellent customer service and people skills, demonstrate compassion, patience and understanding with a willingness to do whatever it takes to provide the highest level of service.
Ability to change program or response to resident as indicated.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to deal with interruptions, distractions, and outbursts appropriately.
Willingness to acquire knowledge about Alzheimer’s and other areas of elder care.
Maintain confidentiality of information and conversations
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job.
Able to maintain good working relationships with other personnel.
Must enjoy working with people especially older adults.
Must have patience and a good work ethic.
Must comply with the Dress Code standard.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident information.
Must observe resident’s rights.
RN or LPN required
CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

Experience with dementia residents preferred

Responsibilities

Pass medication and provide nursing care for memory care residents.
Provide ADL and other personal assistance to memory care residents.
Provide nursing care to traditional assisted living residents per care plan or in emergency situations.
Document according to community policy.
Consults with caregivers or resident’s responsible party regarding nursing questions or concerns.
May delegate tasks to memory care caregivers as appropriate.
Works closely with Memory Care Coordinator to ensure optimal resident care is provided.
Must subscribe to and uphold Snyder Village Mission and Values.
Performs other duties as assigned.
