About The Position
Prairie View is hiring night-shift RNs for its PRTF and Behavioral Urgent Care settings in Newton, Kansas. The role provides purpose-driven psychiatric nursing care to youth and adults in a structured residential and urgent care environment, where nurses can get to know patients and track their progress. Nurses work with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatric prescribers, therapists, and mental health technicians. The position offers full- and part-time options, a predictable 12-hour night schedule, hourly pay of $34–$40 plus night-shift differentials, training, crisis response support, and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Lead overnight clinical assessments, medication administration, and routine patient checks.
- Serve as the clinical lead during urgent behavioral assessments or crisis interventions.
- Partner with prescribers, care teams, and families to refine treatment plans.
- Maintain clean, timely EMR documentation while upholding patient privacy and safety.
