About The Position

Merakey is seeking a full-time Nurse to join their Adult Behavioral Health program in York, PA. The Nurse will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of individuals with serious mental illness (SMI) within the Extended Acute Care (EAC) setting. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate, person-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active driver's license required.
• Must be willing work work with adults diagnosed with chronic mental health disorders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with the adult mental health population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and therapeutic treatment orders.
• Training residents in self-administration of medications and monitor and document weight, respiration and blood pressure.
• Leading and co-leading therapeutic groups, completing thorough documentation and progress notes in the electronic medical record.
• Assisting with scheduling medical/dental/vision appointments as needed.
• Completing shift notes documenting on each of the 16 residents.
