About The Position

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable approach. This includes, but is not limited to assessment, planning, education, prevention, implementation and evaluation of the patients' status, plan of care and goal achievement.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Skills in the process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
  • Ability to travel to other sites as needed.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College of Nursing.
  • Valid Arizona RN or LPN Nursing License required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of successful nursing practice.
  • Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system (EMR).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one (1) year of recent cardiology experience in a hospital or office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Educates the patient and their families on their current condition, including dietary and lifestyle changes, medication therapy and exercise.
  • Develops patient care plan in order to monitor and maintain patient condition.
  • Performs adequate medication analysis and adjustments based off testing as necessary.
  • Continually assesses patient care plan and adapts plan to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborates with appropriate leadership in order to establish best plan of care for patients.
  • Follows policy when disposing of biohazardous materials, labeling, and handling of all materials.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of cardiac nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to care for the patient.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all medical equipment.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and appropriate facility meetings.
  • Travel to other offices based on patient care needs.
  • Other duties as assigned per the need of the organization and within scope of licensure.
