About The Position

At CHI Mercy Health, the Nurse Wound Care role is part of a supportive environment committed to compassionate, high-quality healthcare and whole-person healing. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized, comprehensive care, performs assessments and skilled procedures, and implements and evaluates patient care plans. The nurse collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes and provides care in the Wound Care Center during clinic sessions.

Requirements

• Oregon RN License.
• AHA BLS certification within 30 days.
• Associate's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Medical, surgical, home health, or wound care experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to direct patient care through assessment, analysis of collected data, care-plan development, and implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Perform in-depth patient assessments and correlate information to plan for patient needs in the Wound Care Center.
• Provide efficient and effective care with physician guidance during clinic sessions.
• Provide information and instruction to patients, families, and significant others.
• Provide case management to Wound Care patients.
