About The Position

This is a PRN, travel, seasonal role hiring for the upcoming flu season. The Nurse Vaccinator will serve patients by administering vaccines on behalf of Synchrony Pharmacy at clinics. The role requires adherence to infection-control protocols, compliance with state and federal drug laws, and maintaining licenses and certifications.

Requirements

Degree in Nursing, ADN, Diploma, B.S. or M.S.N. degree from an NLN accredited college or university.
Current unencumbered registered nursing license in the state of practice.
Valid CPR certification.
Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years’ experience in a pharmacy environment.
Experience in Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

Prepares and assists in the administration of vaccines.
Administers vaccines on behalf of Synchrony Pharmacy.
Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies.
Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Travel including overnight stay as necessary.
Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
Supports campuses, departmental goals and the overall objectives of the Company.
Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
Performs all job duties with a friendly positive and team-oriented approach.
Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing with the State.
