About The Position

Join the Limestone Coast Local Health Network as a Nurse Unit Manager (RN/M3) and lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred mental health care within the Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape service excellence, drive innovation, and support positive outcomes for consumers, families, and carers. As Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide operational leadership and line management to a multidisciplinary team including nurses, allied health professionals, lived experience staff, rehabilitation workers, and administrative personnel. You will be responsible for coordinating evidence-based care, managing resources, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and recovery-oriented services.

Requirements

  • Current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
  • Working With Children's Check, South Australia (WWCC)
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A.
  • SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Integrated Mental Health Inpatient Unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, consumer-centred care.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary team, promoting collaboration and positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee workforce management, including recruitment, rostering, performance, and staff development.
  • Drive quality improvement, clinical governance, risk management, and service excellence initiatives.
  • Manage operational resources, budgets, and unit performance.
  • Foster consumer, carer, and lived experience participation in service delivery and improvement.
  • Support education, mentoring, clinical supervision, and professional development of staff.
  • Lead change management and implementation of evidence-based models of care.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance integrated mental health services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, policies, and professional practice requirements.
