About The Position

The Nurse Tech is an incredible opportunity for a student enrolled in a Registered Nurse program at an accredited school and has completed at least one academic term, which included a clinical component or an individual who has completed the Registered Nurse course of study and is awaiting the results of their NCLEX exams. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student in accredited school preparing persons to practice as a Registered Nurse and completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component /OR Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Nursing Technician Registered credential
  • Documentation of current clinical competencies from completed Nursing School course work
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must have completed first term and a clinical rotation of an accredited program.

  • Upon graduation of Nursing School, candidate is encouraged to apply for RN Transition to Practice Residency positions at MultiCare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care applying current health concepts and performing routine duties to the level of academic competence accomplished in the individual’s educational program(s) under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Contribute to the assigned unit nursing team, functioning as a member of the unit.
  • Remain abreast of current trends/information in nursing and applies this knowledge/ information to practice.
  • Attend required unit meetings/classes.
  • Apply your knowledge, judgment, and skills as based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral, and sociological sciences.
