About The Position

At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, nurse technicians are invaluable care providers at the bedside, serving as critical points of contact for patients and their families. This role involves providing compassionate patient focus and performing select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the goal of improving the patient experience and maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Nurse Technicians are expected to demonstrate teamwork and contribute to raising the bar for patient care. This is a full-time day shift position located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, with weekends required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program
  • Nurse Technician/ Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certificate
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
