This is a seasonal position to start in the Ludington Hospital Emergency Department, no later than early June and end by last week of August or mid-September at the latest. Due to shorter orientation period the scope of work will not include aspects of care which require significant training, such as catheterization. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner. This will be a part time temporary role working variable summer shifts needing coverage by the department.
