About The Position

This role involves collecting and reporting on the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. The Nurse Tech ensures that required documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner. They provide direct patient care under the direction of the RN or Provider, consistent with clinical policies and procedures, and department standard work. The role also includes providing input in the development of an individualized plan of care, articulating the nursing technician role to the patient, family, and health team members, and supporting safe, quality patient care in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, the Nurse Tech is responsible for cleaning the patient's environment, work area, and equipment, and communicating any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department/unit personnel. A high standard of moral and ethical behavior is expected, along with advocating for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organization data.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• ARC or AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
