About The Position
The Nurse Tech Progressive Care position is a team member role in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. This role performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. The Nurse Tech collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that the required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Work Equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
Responsibilities

- Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
- Takes vitals.
- Checks blood sugars.
- Performs bed bathing.
- Assists with ambulation.
- Performs wound care.
- Performs catheterization.
- Acts as a safety attendant for patients.
- Ensures that the required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
