Nurse Tech Intern
About The Position
Working as a Senior Nurse Tech is an opportunity to learn and get a head start on your nursing career while pursuing higher education or waiting for your nursing license. Under the direct supervision of licensed, registered nurses, you will assist with care duties and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for cardiac, medical, surgical, and post critical care patient needs. This program at West Jefferson Medical Center is designed to optimize clinical experience for student nurses, with a concentrated focus on RN skill building while mentoring and shadowing with RNs as part of the team. It's an opportunity to be better prepared for an RN role and learn about the perks at West Jeff. PRN positions are available with a minimum requirement of 2 shifts per month, offering flexibility around school schedules, with additional shifts available as schedules permit. Areas open include Acute Care, Cardiac Services, Surgical Services, and Neuroscience Unit.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in accredited Nursing school, minimum Sophomore year or Level 2
- Junior or Level 3 required for Specialty Units
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Card Required
Responsibilities
