Nurse Tech Intern
About The Position
The Nurse Tech Intern program at West Jefferson Medical Center is designed to optimize clinical experience for student nurses within a hospital setting. This program offers a concentrated focus on RN skill building, allowing interns to mentor and shadow Registered Nurses as part of the team. It serves as a valuable opportunity to prepare for future RN roles and learn about the benefits offered at West Jefferson Medical Center. PRN positions are available with a minimum requirement of two shifts per month, offering flexibility around school schedules. Additional shifts can be taken as permitted by the intern's availability.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in accredited Nursing school, minimum Sophomore year or Level 2.
- Junior or Level 3 required for Specialty Units.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Card Required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with care duties under the direct supervision of licensed, registered nurses.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for cardiac, medical, surgical, and post-critical care patient needs.
