About The Position

As part of the Child, Youth & Emerging Adult Program (CYEAP), Child, Youth and Family Services (CYFS) provides care and treatment to children and youth between the ages of 6 and 24. Clients and their families served by CYFS are offered specialized services and customized care across an inpatient, day treatment, and outpatient continuum of care. Reporting to the Senior Manager of CYFS and working collaboratively with the Child Youth & Emerging Adult Program (CYEAP) practice leadership group, the full-time, temporary (8 months) Nurse Team Lead supports the Senior Manager and Clinical Operation Coordination Leader (COCL) to anticipate needs of the Concurrent Youth Unit (CYU) and collaborates with the unit’s interprofessional team to provide effective coordination of client/patient-centered care, consistent with CAMH’s vision and strategic directions. With the COCL and Intake Role, the Team Lead will support the communication, liaison and coordination of client/patient admissions and discharges. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum of three years of recent nursing experience in a child and youth mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team.
  • Experience with electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a Master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Experience in concurrent disorders treatment.
  • Knowledge of CAMH’s programs and services.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) or proficiency in a second language.

Responsibilities
