About The Position
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our nursing department as a Nurse Shift Program Supervisor. This position will supervise all nursing services and personnel of a specific unit. have an active, unrestricted or probated status as a Registered Nurse on the KBN licensure verification.
Requirements
- Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities
- Supervises nursing services for an assigned unit
- Determines the level of nursing care to ensure resident care needs
- Documents employee evaluations, develops work assignments, monitors staffing levels and delegates responsibilities to other levels of nursing staff
- Supervises professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care
- Performs other duties as assigned
