Requirements

  • Active LPN or RN license in the state of Virginia
  • Valid RN or LPN/LVN nursing license in the state of employment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in substance abuse treatment and administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of medication-assisted treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing and laboratory teams to ensure patients receive safe, timely, and high-quality care.
  • Assess patient dosing needs and administer methadone as prescribed, following established clinical protocols.
  • Collect urine specimens.
  • Partner with physicians, counselors, and community providers to coordinate care and help patients stay on track in their recovery journey.
  • Foster a respectful, patient-centered environment where every individual is treated with dignity and compassion.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient dosing records and oversee medication inventory to ensure efficient operations.
  • Keep medical supplies well stocked and organized so the clinical team has the resources they need.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise nursing and laboratory staff, helping them grow professionally.
  • Create and manage department schedules that support both patient needs and team success.
  • Lead internal program reviews and audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
