About The Position

This role involves providing and managing care to individuals and cohorts of patients within a unit. The Nurse Supervisor designs, implements, and evaluates nursing interventions by coordinating, delegating, and supervising the care provided by the healthcare team, including licensed nurses, patient care technicians, and other health professionals. This position also facilitates effective and efficient discharge planning. The Nurse Supervisor serves as a significant communication link between the Unit Director, staff, patients, and physicians, acting as a resource for staff regarding patient care assessment and the planning and evaluation of nursing interventions. They facilitate problem resolution and collaborate with the Unit Director and other supervisory staff in assessing care quality, identifying staff strengths and weaknesses, and evaluating staff performance. Additionally, the Nurse Supervisor acts as a liaison between staff and Clinical Nurse Specialists or other nursing resources, and assumes responsibility for the cost-effective and efficient use of human, environmental, and material resources. The role requires adherence to current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements, ensuring compliance with the Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Registered nurse diploma
  • 2 years relevant experience working in a fast-paced, stressful environment
  • Current RN License in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing
