About The Position

The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, timely, efficient, compliant, and productive workflows in their areas of oversight. This position provides supervision to home visitors and assumes overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the program, modeling fidelity. The Supervisor ensures adherence to guidelines and deliverables from funding agencies and program compliance with policies and procedures. They maintain open communication with the Nurse Manager regarding program issues and opportunities. Responsibilities include addressing personnel issues, providing feedback on team development, reviewing documentation, and demonstrating the agency’s Guiding Principles (respect, collaboration, community, equity and inclusivity, sustainability, staff recognition, and accountability). Supervisors must perform duties while ensuring client confidentiality and privacy rights. Project management responsibilities range from independent work to supporting direct reports through large-scale changes, potentially involving external departments. The Supervisor maintains credentials to complete home visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Must possess and display effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organized and self-directed.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured safe automobile.
  • Non-smoker
  • Must undergo a criminal background check with the Ohio bureau of criminal identification and investigation and a background check with the Ohio central registry on child abuse and neglect.
  • Complete orientation per the Help Me Grow guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience in a variety of settings such as Home visiting, OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Adolescents, or Mental Health.
  • At least 1 year working with pregnant women, infants, and children.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations within their scope of responsibilities.
  • Supervise and lead the provision of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective services.
  • Hold staff accountable to the standards of Help Me Grow Brighter Futures and Premier Health.
  • Serve as the liaison to coordinate compliance and regulatory issues for areas of responsibility.
  • Support agency and model expectations through operational planning.
  • Develop and/or maintain policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to redesign systems of oversight to maximize performance (i.e., labor and operational efficiency).
  • Complete outreach and enrollment efforts for your model to support agency needs.
  • Evaluate performance of assigned personnel.
  • Identify and deal with personnel issues in a proactive and timely manner, with appropriate follow-up to improve performance.
  • Manage labor expenses.
  • Manage employee leaves of absence and family medical leaves.
  • Ensure staff competency via training, competency assessments, and other means.
  • Work with staff on an ongoing basis to attain their professional development goals by directing, coaching and supporting.
  • Lead and develop staff to be eligible for and attain available professional certifications and recognition of knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of staff.
  • Coordinate and lead team meetings/huddles.
  • Lead initiatives to identify gaps in training knowledge and areas for performance improvement.
  • Participate in strategic plan development and execution of assigned goals.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based upon anticipated future needs, operational advancement, and organizational priorities.
  • Serve as a program liaison to HMGBF Leadership for area of responsibility.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and committees.
