About The Position
Birmingham Green, a person-centered care focus community located in Manassas, Virginia, has been providing high-quality and affordable care for 90 years. We have an amazing opportunity for a Nursing Supervisor that is responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care, assures that residents receive the care identified to meet their healthcare needs, and ensures that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff. This role also serves as the person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff.
Requirements
- Current unencumbered RN license
- CPR certification
- Five years of experience in a long-term care facility
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential
- Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly
- Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills

- One year of supervisory experience preferred
