About The Position

The Nurse Supervisor-RN will be responsible for supervising the medical care of all patients from registration to departure. This role involves supervising clinical personnel, scheduling staff, reviewing inventory, and acting as a representative for higher management. The position also requires functioning as an administrator and potentially as a Staff Nurse, reviewing checklists, preparing evaluations, and providing excellent customer service. Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere is also a key aspect of this role. The company, Patient First, has been providing convenient and cost-effective medical care since 1981, with 78 centers in the mid-Atlantic region open every day of the year. They offer both primary and urgent care services, along with occupational health services, and have on-site X-rays, lab tests, and prescription drugs.

Requirements

  • Employee must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Keyboarding experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Licensed to practice as a Nurse by the state of New Jersey

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clerical experience preferred
  • One year of clinical experience with administration of medications preferred
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the medical care of all patients from registration to departure
  • Supervising clinical personnel on their patient contact, care, and performance
  • Scheduling Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants
  • Reviewing and supervising the inventory of medicines, prescriptions, and supplies
  • Acting as Patient First representative for the Director of Medical Support and the Medical Director in his or her absence to ensure smooth operation of the center
  • Functioning as an administrator and working as a Staff Nurse as needed
  • Reviewing all checklists of Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants
  • Preparing written and verbal evaluations for Staff Nurses and Medical Assistants at appropriate scheduled time, or when necessary
  • Providing positive, warm and friendly customer service in all interactions
  • Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere
  • Completing other duties as directed
