About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Nursing Supervisor – Registered Nurse (RN) for their inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This facility is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to patients facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Requirements

  • Valid State RN License is required.
  • BLS is required at hire.
  • Certified ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
  • CRRN preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant.
  • Provide and oversee nursing care.
  • Implement hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives.
  • Maintain approved standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • Help patients achieve outlined goals and milestones on their individual patient care plan.
  • Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
  • Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
  • Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement.
  • Instructing and counseling patients/families.
