About The Position
Pomperaug Woods is seeking a temporary Nurse Supervisor (RN) for their 7am-3pm shift. This role requires a strong clinical leader who can manage a nursing team, ensure high-quality resident care, and make real-time decisions in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment. The ideal candidate leads with compassion, accountability, and professionalism, and is dedicated to creating a supportive, mission-driven community.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Connecticut
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in geriatric or rehabilitation care
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities
- Overseeing nursing staff to ensure high-quality, individualized care
- Conducting resident assessments and ensuring care plans are followed
- Coordinating communication between residents, families, physicians, and staff
- Making staffing adjustments to maintain safe coverage
- Rounding regularly to ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Responding quickly to clinical changes and emergencies
- Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations
- Supporting admissions, discharges, documentation reviews, and audits
- Acting as a key leader and resource for your team
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting staff development
