About The Position

The Role Under general direction, the Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the management of the nursing services of the agencies program in accordance with NYS and federal law and regulation. Management responsibilities include the direct supervision of nursing and medical support staff and coordination of client medical care to ensure the delivery of timely and appropriate medical services. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary care team to provide a safe and comfortable medically supervised process. Provides in-service orientation, training and competency evaluation to agency nursing staff and medical support staff. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village

Requirements

  • NYS RN licensure.
  • BLS certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • At least Five (5) years nursing supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of which must include 3 years of hospital, substance use or other behavior healthcare supervisory nursing experience.
  • Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG.
  • Possession of strong time management, writing and communication skills.
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills; ability to supervise, coach, mentor, develop, train and teach nurses/other clinical discipline providers.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule and be to work all shifts as needed in response to program and staff needs.
  • Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.
  • Strong leadership and effective management skills.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Responsibilities
