About The Position

The Nurse Supervisor Inpatient – Procedural Services will work in collaboration with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies to ensure they are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, works to implement and monitor the application into practice. Ensures standardized implementation across their area of responsibility by working closely with the nurses. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient centered care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Current State of Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Two (2) years of registered nursing experience.
  • Strong leadership skills including understanding departmental operations, orienting and training employees, job performance coaching, and monitoring products and services for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Exercise tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality.
  • Perform essential job functions successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  • Learn current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Prior nursing supervisory experience.

  • Coordinates and oversees the organization-wide departmental services.

  • Ensures staff professional needs are met.
  • Leads, teaches, inspires, helps and consistently demonstrates hospital behavioral standards.
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
