About The Position

The Nurse Supervisor Inpatient - Medical Floor will work in collaboration with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies to ensure they are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, works to implement and monitor the application into practice. Ensures standardized implementation across their area of responsibility by working closely with the nurses. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient centered care.

Requirements

  • Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) within two years of hire
  • Two (2) years registered nursing experience
  • Strong leadership managerial skills; ability to plan, delegate, monitor and improve work performance
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
  • Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Standard office equipment and computer applications; MS Office, EMR, internet applications etc.
  • Ability to work varied shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Prior nursing supervisory experience
  • Master of Science, Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in related field
