About The Position

Soleo Health is seeking a Full-time Nurse Supervisor to support our Specialty Infusion Pharmacy and patients in the Herndon, VA and surrounding areas. Join us in Simplifying Complex Care! Must be able to work 100 percent in office.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 100 percent in office
  • Must be able to work Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm- variable schedule - 40 hours per week
  • Must be knowledgeable and have used the following IV access devices to include: IV lines, accessing ports and administration of infusion medications
  • Must be able to provide infusions to patients in their homes as well as the infusion suite
  • Must be able to drive up to 1 hour one direction to see patients as needed (we offer mileage reimbursement and hourly rate of pay- even when driving!)
  • Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Must be able to work in patients homes around animals and cigarette smoke
  • Must have a multistate RN license for the state of VA or willingness to obtain
  • Must have at least one year of training and experience in direct health care service delivery with at least one year within the last five years of supervisory or administrative management experience in home health care or a related health program
  • Must be available at all times during operating hours and for emergency situations
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN, MSN preferred
  • Current RN Licensure by the applicable state’s Board of Nursing, in good standing - Must have a multistate RN License or willingness to obtain
  • Valid state issued drivers license with no significant restrictions on that license
  • Minimum 2 years Nursing practice in a related specialty such as home infusion and or specialty infusion, home health, oncology, nutrition support, IV therapy or critical care
  • Minimum 2 years Pediatric Nursing experience ideal
  • Clinical expertise in IV therapies with monitoring, skill and knowledge of all types of IV lines
  • Minimum 1 year management experience, proven ability to manage, train and educate staff on new protocols and existing standard operating procedures within the last 5 years working in home health or specialty infusion pharmacy
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees in a fast-paced clinical environment and manage multiple complex projects
  • Knowledge of vascular access devices and infusion therapies
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • The governing body shall appoint as administrator an individual who has evidence of at least one year of training and experience in direct health care service delivery with at least one year within the last five years of supervisory or administrative management experience in home health care or a related health program
  • The administrator or designee shall be available at all times during operating hours and for emergency situations

Nice To Haves

  • MSN preferred
  • Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
  • 2 years Pediatric Nursing experience ideal

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect skilled nursing care to patients
  • Implementation and management of physician orders related to nursing
  • Selects, trains develop and motivates a highly skilled professional and allied staff.
  • Assures that departmental staff complete orientation, maintain clinical competence, performs supervisory visits, participate in continuing education, received counseling and are evaluated in a timely manner.
  • Assure that patient verification, assessment, teaching and the ongoing scheduling of nursing services occurs in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Assures that all patient related documentation is accurately completed, submitted and/or filed in a timely manner, according to internal and external regulatory requirements and in support of the billing process.
  • Participates in planning, decision-making and implementation of all service center activities that affect clinical nursing services and the performance of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Secures and maintains all applicable professional certifications, accreditations and employment requirements as required of the nursing staff and department.
  • Coordination of patient care in conjunction with nurse scheduler and or clinical coordinator
  • Assures all nursing documentation is accounted for and billed in a timely manner
  • Promotes efficiency and productivity of nursing dept in conjunction with nurse manager
  • Works closely with the Nurse Manager and Operations Manager to assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate clinical and administrative policies, procedures, programs and systems.
  • Assures own professional growth and clinical competence.
  • Adheres to all policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
  • Reports to the appropriate management any known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.
  • Responsible for providing administrative oversight, including monitoring of workflows, ensuring compliance with policies, and managing resources efficiently to meet organizational objectives.
  • Must be available to respond promptly to emergencies, ensuring rapid and effective resolution of issues to minimize impact on operations.
  • Availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the nature of the emergency.
