About The Position
Deer River Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Substitute to provide temporary nursing support and help ensure students’ health and well-being. This substitute position offers flexibility in scheduling and contributes to the school’s health services team.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license (LPN or RN) in the state of Minnesota.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document student health records and incidents.
- Maintain a clean and organized health office.
- Participate in health screenings and assessments as required.
- Stay updated on school policies and health regulations.
